C’mon boyz

My provider tells me that my website ScientologyMyths.info got visited by more than 100,000 people last night.

I am not very familiar with DDOS attacks but this seems to be one. C’mon boyz, is that a statement what you think of Free Speech?

I find your baseless accusations and shaky logic to be quite distasteful. You had a lot of traffic, and therefore you are being criminally assaulted? Moreover, you can take the action of one individual (or a few) and attribute it to an entire group?

    Really, now.

Um, I certainly didn’t DDoS you. I wouldn’t even know how. I did visit your site though. Perhaps I’m one of those 100,000? I don’t see why you are complaining that people are visiting your site.

Also, I’m a gurl. Gurl on internet! Watch out!

As long as this group called “Anonymous” takes no action to restrict or prevent their members to be involved or stir up hate crimes, I will continue to point this out. In the past two months it was Anonymous who made it “OK” to attack Scientologists, Scientology websites and Churches of Scientology. This group has laid the groundwork for a hate campaign and is still continuing. They think they have a right to restrict my rights and this is wrong. They think they have a right to ridicule my religion and this is wrong as well. I am aware that not all “Anonymous” members are that low. But those who are not have a responsibility to stop their fellows. Sounds old-fashioned? Maybe I am.

I created this site and blog, willing to answer questions, get into discussions and sort things out. This is happening and it is great that it does. Attempting to crash my website is not part of the game. If it were I would be forced to involve myself in criminal tactics as well. Which is the opposite to what a Scientology is about, believe it or not.

I get several thousand visitors a day to the site. In one night however it was more than 100,000 visitors, all to the same page. That’s pretty obvious, isn’t it. I am sure there is a logfile somewhere but I won’t post IPs or such. I promised privacy so privacy it is.

“Also, I’m a gurl. Gurl on internet! Watch out!” :-) Welcome to the club!

Maybe the general public is just getting curious about the topic? I’d be totally jazzed if a website I had reached 100,000 views. As long as my server didn’t crash because of it I’d consider it a victory. I think it’s a victory for us both actually. I want everyone to be informed on the issue and we have both sides adamantly discussing it at various pages on this blog. Go us! All of us!

Ok, 100,000 people. Still awesome. I’m glad people are educating themselves.
