I understand you don’t want to use information from anti-scientology sources, and this is of course your right. However, in your section on the RPF, you cite only one source, that being Pentikäinen, Redhardt and York (2002). I wonder why you did not also include information from Dr. Stephen Kent’s rather more famous and widely cited paper, ‘brainwashing in the RPF’.
ANSWER:
Because Kent is thoroughly dealt with already in the study done by Pentikäinen, Redhardt and York. Basically this study does not deal with anything else than Kent. Other than that, Kent has never seen nor visited a RPF but pulls his ideas from God knows where (he doesn’t say), so how can his study be more important than one which is a longterm study, on the ground, right in the middle of it, with real RPF participants.
